Bio & Life
Quincie is a freelance dancer and choreographer based in NYC. She's interested in getting to know you and work with you on something you're passionate about.
Some of her most personally memorable moments as a professional dancer include her work with Lisa Fagan through NYLA's Fresh Tracks residency, performing in Christian von Howard's work entitled "Water People", dancing in the encore of Reggie Watts' show at Town Hall, working with Orange Grove Dance in a professional dance film, and touring to Scotland to perform in the Fringe Festival.
As co-director of Q&A Productions, Quincie enjoys creating duets with Annalee Dare Harlow which involve their voices, technical movement, musical instruments, and humor. Q&A also curate and produce shows that include dance, live music, and film. Their first self-produced show, PAIRED UP, was presented by The Tank and proved to be a thrilling success, with an overly-sold out audience (fitting 73 people into a 62 seat venue). In their first year of production, they presented over 30 groups of artists in four different shows, in both Manhattan and Brooklyn.
To supplement the cost of rent in Brooklyn and to satisfy her other interests, Quincie works in several different fields. She serves the performance community through her work as Director of Programming at Pentacle—a nonprofit arts administration organization that assists artists with their business infrastructure. Several days per week Quincie teaches fitness at the ness, where she choreographs and leads trampoline workouts. Quincie also enjoys working in wardrobe at venues like The Joyce and The Kitchen, and as the development associate and festival photographer for the Brooklyn Americana Music Festival. Most recently, Quincie has started making clothes and small costume pieces for herself and others.
